The cast stone Victorian Jardini re is a traditional Victorian style garden planter from Haddonstone. This imposing Victorian Jardiniere is an elegant example of the nineteenth century naturalistic style of ornament. The intriguing combination of basketwork and dragon s feet is characteristic of the naturalistic style and popular with horticultural enthusiasts.
Haddonstone s design was inspired by an Austin & Seeley garden planter. Austin & Seeley were renowned for high quality garden ornaments, including garden planters, in the mid nineteenth century.
The Royal Horticultural Society has used Haddonstone s Victorian Jardini res to enhance the canal area at the acclaimed RHS Wisley garden.
