Heritage secondary glazing for sash windows offers minimal sightlines, easy access to the primary glazing and a high level of ventilation.
Heritage secondary sash windows mirror the primary sash window - consisting of two secondary sash window panels, one above the other, securely retained in their own outer frame.
The spiral balance system supports the weight of the sashes & makes this unit suitable for larger sash windows.
The tllt-in facility allows each secondary sash to be independently released from the outer frame & pivoted inwards through almost 180° - thus presenting the other side of the glass for easy cleaning.
Integral safety restrictor catches are fitted for the standard to guarantee safe operation of the tilt-in mechanism & child safety latches can be incorporated in the unit.
Where fire escape (fire egress) is required, a clear bottom sash opening width or height must be a 450mm minimum with a clear openable area with no less than 0.33m².
